Veyseloglu Group organized the next blood donation titled "A drop of blood is a life rescued" on February 24. The purpose of this event was to help children suffering from thalassemia and at the same time people injured due to accidents at free of charge.
Multiple employees of Group participated in the event accompanied doctors of Central Blood Bank as a donor.
Note that "Thalassemia" is a hereditary blood disease found in many countries around the world. According to World Health Organization there are about 300 million people carrying this disease. Thalassemia is the single-gene disorder most commonly observed in the world. The main reason of thalassemia is a defect emerging in 11th and 16th chromosome among 46 pair chromosomes in human body.
Therefore millions of people join the regular blood donation events for survival of these patients until complete recovery.
