Aydin Talibov
Founder and CEO
The founder and CEO of Veyseloglu Group of Companies Aydin Talibov was born in 1965 in Siyagut village, Sharur district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
He graduated from the University of Civil Engineers in 1989 (now the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction) with honours at the Faculty of Construction Technology.
Upon graduation from the University, he worked for three years in various positions at the State Planning Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the capital construction and development entities under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Having started his business activity in 1992, Aydin Talibov carried out the first large-scale import in the biscuit category from Turkey to Azerbaijan on November 5, 1994. So "Veyseloglu distribution" was founded.
Aydin Talibov has organised successful businesses in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Thus, in 2001, together with his partners, he founded "Ulduz" chocolate factory. In 2010, together with partners as the main shareholder, he established a new distribution company in Georgia called "VG", and in 2011 - he established "Araz" supermarket chain.
Since 2016, Aydin Talibov has developed his businesses even further. Along with expanding "Araz" supermarket network, he established "OBA" markets network with a high discount model in the country. In 2017, he bought one of the first supermarkets in the country - "Favorit" markets network.
AVT Logistics started its operations on June 14, 2017. It is considered to be the largest logistics center in the South Caucasus.
"Vesta-Horeca" company has been operating since May 2018 at the initiative of Aydin Talibov. This Company supplies high-quality and affordable raw materials in the food and service sectors. "V-Trade" Company was established in wholesale procurement activities in the food sector in 2015. Since February 2016, the production of "Khoncha" brand confectionery products has been launched.
Aydin Talibov has contributed to the cafe business of our country with Entrée Azerbaijan. There are currently five cafes with this brand operating in the country under the franchise agreement.
In addition, as an entrepreneur, Aydin Talibov supported the development of Sirab and Badamli Mineral Water Plants.
To develop his knowledge and skills in marketing, Aydin Talibov attended many conferences and seminars on business development in the retail sector in the US, UK, Japan and other countries during his business activity.
On February 2, 2018, Aydin Talibov was awarded the "Tərəqqi" (Progress) medal by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for his service to the country.

As Veyseloglu Group of Companies, 30 years have passed since our activity, and I would not be wrong if I say that "we have not had a single year without trials" during this period. Trials and challenges, successes and failures are all an integral part of this journey. The good thing is that we learn from each trial and become more experienced.
Looking back, I can proudly say that we have come a long way on this path that we started with hard work and faith. By expanding our distribution activities, we were able to manage the supply chain from end to end. We work with great effort and love to achieve the satisfaction of our customers, employees, partners and society and justify the trust placed in us.
Our mission is to provide the society with clean, healthy and quality, and at the same time, affordable daily consumer goods. It has become an honor for us to serve this great cause.
I would like to thank each and every individual of the Veyseloglu family of more than twenty thousand people, who shared with me the responsible obligations of food security, sustainability and the creation of new jobs. In recent times, we have created about 2,000 new jobs every year, and this is one of the indicators of success for me. Decent working conditions for our employees, creation and training of professional personnel for the labor market of our country is our priority.
Justice, one of our main values, has become a kind of beacon - a main reference point for us on our way to our goal. Our work is not only business. We take our social and environmental responsibility seriously and contribute to sustainability. For example, we apply approaches such as waste reprocessing and paperless implementation of processes in our closed warehouse. For us, sustainability is not just a trending word rather, it is the value we create at every stage of our business.
I would like to thank my compatriots who have been using Veyseloglu products and services for 30 years and who inspire us to do better. With your support, we continue to create value for our country.
