Since October 2022, Şəhla Yusifzadə has been working at Veysəloğlu Group of Companies. She initially served as the Head of the Quality Assurance Department and later as the Head of the Quality Audit Department. In March 2025, Şəhla Yusifzadə was appointed as the Advisor to the CEO of Veysəloğlu Group of Companies on Food Safety, Technical Regulation, and Quality Issues.
Şəhla Yusifzadə completed her bachelor's degree in "Food Technology" at the Baku Commodity and Commerce Institute from 1994 to 1998. From 1998 to 2000, she continued her education at Azerbaijan State University of Economics in the same specialty at the master's level. In 2000, she successfully graduated from the master's program and started working as a lecturer in the "Food Technology" department at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. She continues teaching today at UNEC's "International Master's and Doctoral Studies Center." She also holds a Ph.D. in Economics.
Overall, she has published nearly 60 scientific articles and theses in international conferences as well as local and foreign scientific-practical journals. Additionally, she is a co-author of several curricula, 2 invention patents, teaching materials, and methodological guidelines.
In 2024, during the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Framework Convention (COP29) held in Azerbaijan, she worked as the Food Safety Manager at the COP29 Azerbaijan Operations Company and was honored by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, for her active participation.
She holds several certifications including Lead Auditor for FSSC 22000 V.6, IRCA-registered Lead Auditor for ISO 22000, BRCGS Professional, FSPCA FSMA – Food Safety Modernization PCQI, and ISO 9001:2015 auditor certificates.
From 2010 to 2016, she worked at the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology, and Patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan, serving as a Senior Advisor in the "Food Quality Control" department. In 2012, she was appointed Deputy Head and later Head of the Sumgait Regional Department of the State Control Service for Technical Regulation and Standardization under the Committee. She also served as Head of the "Control of Standards in Service Sectors" department within the Service's Headquarters.
Between 2019 and 2022, she held various roles at the Sumgait regional branch of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including Deputy Head and later Head of the regional office. She also worked as Head of the "Food Chain Control and Coordination with Regional Branches" department at the Agency’s Headquarters and Head of the "Food Safety Control" department at the Baku Regional Directorate of the Agency.
